RULES AND PRIVACY POLICY

RULES OF SUBMISSION:

  • DVDs should be protected either by a sleeve or case, and both formats should be sent in padded envelopes. Screenfest is not responsible for items lost or damaged by the shipping carrier. All submissions must be received by the submission deadline.  Any submissions received after the deadline will not be eligible.
  • Entries must be submitted on Region 0 or Region 1 DVD or NTSC VHS. All other formats will not be eligible.
  • U.S. entries only.
  • Films that have been picked up for distribution or broadcasted on television are not eligible for submission.
  • Multiple works by the same person or team are acceptable, but no duplicate entries, please.
  • Entrants will be notified by email when submissions have been received.
  • Films will not be returned. Do not send original or master copies.
  • If there are any changes to your email address, phone number, or mailing address, please contact Screenfest via our website.
  • Plagiarism will not be tolerated. All entries must be original works unless the rights to a book, screenplay, or other adaptable source have been purchased and permission given. Notify Screenfest on your application if the film is an adaptation. Proof of rights will be required.
  • Once a submission is received, it may be duplicated in whole or in part and shown for marketing, promotional, or educational purposes.
  • No actual violence or sex will be tolerated in any movie. Having non-fictional graphic images will disqualify the submission.
  • Submission fees are non-refundable.

 

PRIVACY POLICY:

Screenfest reserves the right to use an applicant's name, photo, city, and website (if applicable) as well as any or all of the film submission in various medias to promote the festival. However, Screenfest will never share applicant's personal information such as phone number, email address, home or billing address, or payment information with any outside source including but not limited to other companies and media representatives. Screenfest uses the payment method Paypal for the convenience of our applicants. If this payment option is utilized, the applicant must abide by the terms of service set forth by Paypal Inc. Applicants under the age of 18
must be accompanied to the festival by a parent or guardian. Also, parent or guardian permission must be given in writing for Screenfest to use the name, photo, city, and website (if applicable) of a minor.
